This animation, commissioned and produced by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation is part of the research project "Impacts of Mercury on Protected Areas and Forest Peoples in the Amazon: An Integrated Health and Environment Approach".
The film addresses the risks and contamination caused by the gold mining that has been growing in Brazil, affecting mainly indigenous peoples and riverside communities.
For the production of the script, a script workshop was held with the Munduruku people. The film is narrated in three languages: Portuguese, Munduruku and Yanomami.
